In case you hadn’t guessed where I lived yet
Monday, August 16th, 2010I’ll stop posting generic photos of Brighton when it stops being so damn pretty. I loved how especially blue the sea was looking Saturday afternoon.

A while ago Hannah, the lovely creator of Paperbrains asked me if she could print some of my Polaroids in her 3rd issue. I’ve just received my copy and I couldn’t be more pleased. It’s “a self-published, independent zine that prints art, photography and writing from all over the world”, it’s been beautifully put together and features some incredibly talented people.
If you’d like to buy a copy, or would like to contribute to future issues, you can contact Hannah at paperbrains@googlemail.com

Here’s what the first half of my summer has looked like. It’s involved a lot of travelling outside the borders of Brighton, beaches, cycling, painting, eating ice cream and in pubs (the only safe bet to go with a dog).
Hastings:
Brighton (paddle round the pier festival):
(Owl & the Pussycat <3)
(giant plastic-bag swan)
Seaford:
Beachy Head:
Other stuff:
Last week I took a short walk along the seafront and down the pier, before returning home. The pier at night is like something out of Scooby-Doo when it’s off season. Most things are closed and there’s not many people about, half the rides have had their insides taken away or are in pieces. The cheesy 70′s music can still be heard all the way down.
I now have a whole bunch of prints listed on my Etsy shop, and to celebrate and give of them a bit of a launch I’m offering all of my Polaroid prints as buy one get one free for the rest of October. Add the code: oohprints in the “message to seller” box at checkout, along with which 2nd print you would like (of equal or lower value) to get your free print!
I’m going to be having some prints for sale soon.. please take a look around my flickr gallery and let me know if you see anything you’d fancy having as one.
Here’s some versions of some of my Polaroids next to the originals. Luckily the hours of scanning and editing of dust have been worth it and they’ve blown up rather nicely.
