In case you hadn’t guessed where I lived yet
Monday, August 16th, 2010I’ll stop posting generic photos of Brighton when it stops being so damn pretty. I loved how especially blue the sea was looking Saturday afternoon.

Here’s just a few photos I took yesterday, at this year’s Gay Pride parade. It was as fun as ever, and the sun was shining despite the forecast rain. ♥
Last week I was in the north-east and we took a drive out onto the moors, stopping off in a village cafe for some scones.

Next Saturday (27th) I will be returning to the north for the first time in about 9 months do to Craft Candy’s Spring Fling craft fair. It’s at the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield, entrance is free and it’s open 10-4pm. I can’t wait to see Sheffield again <3

The 2nd Brighton Zinefest started their 4 days of events yesterday. Tomorrow I’ll be taking part in the fair, taking along lots of zines and a few other small bits (stickers/postcards/badges/cookies) too. Along with the stallholders there’s a bunch of workshops going on, in things like guerilla gardening and zine making. It’s taking place at the Hanover Community (33 Southover Street Brighton, BN2 9UD) from 1:30 to 5:30pm.
Details of all their events on their website.
Last week I took a short walk along the seafront and down the pier, before returning home. The pier at night is like something out of Scooby-Doo when it’s off season. Most things are closed and there’s not many people about, half the rides have had their insides taken away or are in pieces. The cheesy 70′s music can still be heard all the way down.
On Saturday the 13th I’ll be escaping from the seaside to do the Alternative Press Fair in London. Again I’ll be tabling with Emma, bringing along our zines and most probably cake too. (facebook event page)
Afterwards we’ll also be attending Girl Germs at Camden Head, a ” grrrl-tastic night of music, zines, cakes and dancing” with zines from Vampire Sushi distro. (facebook event page)

I’ll be at February’s Handmade Brighton with Emma again next weekend.
I’ll be sharing a stall with Emma at Handmade Brighton’s Christmas fair on December 5th at Komedia.
I have a stall selling zines (including a new one), prints, and whatever else I can fit in my bag at the Art House in Southampton on the 21st and 22nd. Come say hello if you’re in the area. Apparently they have very nice cake.
