A while ago Hannah, the lovely creator of Paperbrains asked me if she could print some of my Polaroids in her 3rd issue. I’ve just received my copy and I couldn’t be more pleased. It’s “a self-published, independent zine that prints art, photography and writing from all over the world”, it’s been beautifully put together and features some incredibly talented people.

I’ve recently joined the Etsy Polaroid team, which has really just given me more excuse to browse lovely photos all day long. If I had endless amounts of money to spend on prints, these would certainly be decorating my wall.

Here’s some versions of some of my Polaroids next to the originals. Luckily the hours of scanning and editing of dust have been worth it and they’ve blown up rather nicely.

Something I’m doing that’s loosely tied-in with my old technlogies project, I’m taking a polaroid a day for a month and typing something to go with it, to have as a kind of record of the passing month.

Typecasting is an interesting concept, I guess this counts as one?

I did some behind the scenes picture-snapping at a recent Garage Studios shoot, and used it as an excuse to get a few polaroids of some of the models – complete with pretty underwear and gory fake wounds. I’ve never been on a photoshoot before – never mind as huge as this one so it was definitely an experience and a half for me. Go look at the final image that Dark Daze took because it’s amazing.
